Maials is a small town in Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the Segrià area, which is a comarca (a type of region or county). Maials used to be the main place of the Maials Barony, which was like a special land area ruled by a baron a long time ago.
People of Maials
Maials has seen its population change over the years. In the early 1900s, over 2,000 people lived there. By the 1970s, the number had dropped to around 1,000.
In 2007, about 973 people lived in Maials. This shows how the number of residents can change a lot over time.
