Makoto Okubo (大久保 誠, Ōkubo Makoto, born 3 May 1975) is a Japanese former professional footballer. He played as a midfielder, a key position in the middle of the football field.

Makoto Okubo was born in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, on May 3, 1975. He loved football from a young age. After finishing his studies at Fukuoka University, he decided to become a professional player.
