Makoto Takeya's Football Journey
Makoto Takeya was born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on July 27, 1977. He loved football from a young age. After finishing his studies at Kokushikan University, he joined a professional football club called Mito HollyHock in 2001.
Mito HollyHock was part of the J2 League, which is one of Japan's top football leagues. Makoto Takeya made his first professional appearance in a game on March 10, 2001. This was the opening match of the 2001 season.
He played many games for Mito HollyHock during that year. He was a key player in the team's defense, often playing as a "center back." A center back is a defender who plays in the middle of the field, helping to stop the other team from scoring goals.
Even though Makoto Takeya played well, his team, Mito HollyHock, finished in 11th place out of 12 clubs in the 2001 season. After this season, Makoto Takeya decided to retire from professional football. He played a total of 19 games in his career.
