Mamie Gummer is an American actress. She was born on August 3, 1983. Mamie is the daughter of famous actress Meryl Streep and sculptor Don Gummer.
She has starred in TV shows like Emily Owens, M.D. and The Good Wife. Mamie has also appeared in movies such as Evening and Ricki and the Flash. She was nominated for an award for her acting in the play Ugly Lies the Bone.

Early Life and Education
Mamie Gummer was born in New York City. She is the oldest daughter of actress Meryl Streep and sculptor Don Gummer. Mamie grew up in Salisbury, Connecticut. She also lived in Los Angeles for five years. Her older brother is Henry Wolfe Gummer. Her younger sisters are actresses Grace Gummer and Louisa Jacobson.
Mamie went to Miss Porter's School. She then graduated from the Kent School in Kent, Connecticut. After that, she studied theater and communications. She went to Northwestern University and finished her studies in 2005.
Acting Career Highlights
Mamie Gummer first appeared in a movie as a toddler. She was in Heartburn with her mother. She was only 20 months old at the time. Critics gave her a good review.
After college in 2005, she started acting off-Broadway. She won a Theatre World Award for her role in Mr. Marmalade. In 2007, she was nominated for another award. This was for her performance in The Water's Edge.

Personal Life
Mamie Gummer got engaged to actor Benjamin Walker in 2009. They got married in July 2011. They lived in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York City. In March 2013, they announced their separation.
Mamie has supported charities. These include Women's Refugee Commission and the Nomi Network.
She became engaged to writer Mehar Sethi in August 2018. They got married in February 2019. The same month, Mamie gave birth to their son. Their daughter was born in 2021.
