Man vs. Cartoon was an exciting American TV show that explored real-life science. It aired on truTV and was all about trying out cartoon ideas in the real world!

The show's main idea was simple: students and researchers at New Mexico Tech's Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center would try to build and test crazy inventions. These inventions were inspired by the famous Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner cartoons. In the cartoons, Wile E. Coyote always tries to catch the speedy Road Runner with wild gadgets, but they never work. On the show, the scientists would try to make these cartoon contraptions actually work!

Each episode started with a clip from a Wile E. Coyote cartoon. Then, the team would try to build and test a real version of the cartoon's invention. For example, in the very first episode, they built a huge Rube Goldberg machine. This is a complex chain reaction device. Their machine started with a slingshot and ended with a cannon firing. It was all about seeing if cartoon physics could happen in real life!
