Manantiales is a lovely resort town in southeastern Uruguay. It is located in the Maldonado Department, right by the Atlantic Ocean. The name "Manantiales" means "springs" in Spanish. It is a popular spot for people to visit and enjoy the beaches.

Exploring Manantiales

Manantiales sits right on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. You can find it along Route 10. To its west is a place called Laguna Blanca, which means "White Lagoon."

Beaches and Landmarks

Along the coastline, there is a small point of land called Punta Piedras. This point helps divide the beaches. To the west of Punta Piedras, you will find Las Olas Playa beach. To the east, there is Playa Bikini.

Manantiales is bordered by other areas too. To the west, it is next to a neighborhood called "Barrio San Carlos." This neighborhood is close to the resort of La Barra. To the east, Manantiales borders the resort of El Chorro.
