Quijano was very busy in Madrid's music and culture scene. He also worked as the music director at another important theatre, the Teatro del Príncipe. In 1837, when a new group called the Liceo Artístico y Literario was started, he was listed as one of the musicians involved. This shows how respected he was in the music community.
His Musical Talents
Manuel Quijano was not just a composer. He also arranged and orchestrated music for the theatre. This means he took existing music and changed it to fit different instruments or voices. He also taught singers and musicians, helping them improve their skills.
