Overcoming Challenges
At one point, Manuela had a serious injury. She tore a muscle in her left shoulder. This meant she could not play for 18 months. She missed the start of the Women's Six Nations Championship. But she worked hard and came back to play in October for the 2020 Women's Six Nations Championship.

In April 2021, Manuela played against Scotland in the 2021 Women's Six Nations Championship. In this game, she scored three tries! This is called a hat-trick in rugby.
