María Antonia Trujillo Rincón is a Spanish politician. She was born on December 18, 1960. She is a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). This is one of the main political parties in Spain.
Early Life and Education
María Antonia Trujillo was born in Peraleda del Zaucejo, a town in Badajoz, Spain. She studied law at the University of Extremadura. She earned both her first degree and her advanced doctor's degree there. After finishing her studies, she became a professor. She taught Constitutional Law at the same university. Constitutional Law is about the rules that govern a country.
Political Career
María Antonia Trujillo has held important roles in the Spanish government. From 1999 to 2004, she worked as a counsellor. This was in the government of Juan Carlos Rodríguez Ibarra in the Junta de Extremadura. The Junta de Extremadura is the regional government of Extremadura.
Later, from 2004 to 2007, she became a national minister. She served as the Minister of Housing. This was during the time José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero was Prime Minister. As Minister of Housing, she was in charge of policies related to homes and housing for people in Spain.
In 2019, María Antonia Trujillo moved to Morocco. There, she led the Spanish Ministry of Education office in Rabat. This role involved overseeing Spanish education programs in Morocco. She held this position until May 2022.
