Marc Alaimo is an American actor famous for playing villains on screen. He is most recognized for his role as the clever and complicated bad guy, Gul Dukat, in the TV series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Early Life and Family
Alaimo grew up in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has a son named Michael Antony Alaimo, who also works in television as a writer and producer. Michael has worked on popular shows like The Closer and Major Crimes.
Acting Career
From the Stage to the Screen
Before becoming a famous face on TV, Marc Alaimo was a theater actor. He trained in classic plays and performed with the Marquette University Players and the Milwaukee Repertory Theater in the 1960s. He acted in plays by famous writers like Shakespeare.
Some of his stage roles included playing the tricky villain Iago in Othello and the character Rodolpho in Arthur Miller's play A View From the Bridge. In 1973, he moved to Los Angeles to start his career in movies and television.

Starting in the 1970s, Alaimo appeared in many popular TV shows. He often played the "bad guy," which he was very good at. You might see him in classic shows like The Six Million Dollar Man, Starsky & Hutch, Knight Rider, The Incredible Hulk, and The A-Team.

Marc Alaimo is a very important actor in the Star Trek universe. He played several different characters in Star Trek: The Next Generation. He was the first actor to ever play a Romulan on that show in the episode "The Neutral Zone". He was also the first to play a Cardassian in the episode "The Wounded".
His most famous role, however, came in 1993 when he began playing Gul Dukat in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Gul Dukat was the main villain of the series and appeared in 33 episodes. He was a complex character who was a major enemy of the show's heroes, but fans found him very interesting to watch.
