Marc Henry Aronson (born October 19, 1950) is an American writer, editor, and historian. He is known for writing interesting history and biography books for kids and young adults. He also writes books for adults about how teenagers read.

Marc Henry Aronson was born on October 19, 1950. His father, Boris Aronson, was a famous designer for plays and movies. His mother was Lisa Jalowetz Aronson. Marc's grandfather was Heinrich Jalowetz, a musical conductor.
Marc's Work as a Writer
Marc Aronson writes for School Library Journal. This is a magazine for librarians. He used to write a column called "Consider the Source." Later, he started a blog called "Nonfiction Matters." In these writings, he shares his ideas about nonfiction books.
In 2001, Marc Aronson won a special award. It was the first-ever Sibert Medal for nonfiction. He won it for his book Sir Walter Ralegh and the Quest for El Dorado. This award celebrates the best nonfiction books for children.
