Marcel Arland (born July 5, 1899, died January 12, 1986) was a famous French writer. He wrote many novels and was also a literary critic and journalist. He was born and died in Haute-Marne, a region in France.

Marcel Arland was a very active writer. He helped start a newspaper called Aventure with his friends René Crevel and Roger Vitrac. This newspaper was part of a movement called dada.
In 1929, Marcel Arland won a very important award for writers, the Prix Goncourt. He won it for his book called L'Ordre. Later, in 1968, he became a member of the Académie française, which is a group of important French people who protect the French language. From 1968 to 1977, he also led a well-known French magazine called Nouvelle Revue Française.
