Marcus Scott Chong (born July 8, 1967) is an American actor. He is known for his roles in several movies and TV shows. He played Miguel Mendez in the TV show Street Justice from 1991 to 1993. Marcus also played the real-life activist Huey P. Newton in the movie Panther (1995). One of his most famous roles was Tank in the science fiction movie The Matrix (1999).

Marcus Chong was born in Seattle, Washington, on July 8, 1967. His biological father was Martin Wyatt, a sports reporter. His mother was Chinese. In 1978, when Marcus was 11 years old, he was adopted by Tommy Chong and Shelby Chong.
Marcus Chong's Acting Career
Marcus Chong started acting when he was nine years old. His very first role was in a TV miniseries called Roots: The Next Generations in 1979. He played a young character named Frankie Warner. He also appeared as a guest star in an episode of Little House on the Prairie.
Early Roles and Broadway
In the early 1990s, Marcus Chong had a regular role on the TV show Street Justice. He played Miguel Mendez from 1991 to 1993. He also appeared in the action series Vanishing Son in 1994. In 1995, he was in a music video for the song "Temptations".
Marcus also acted on Broadway, which is a famous theater district in New York City. He played the character Lee Cortez in a play called Stand-Up Tragedy. Even though the play had a short run, his performance earned him a special award called the Theatre World Award in 1991.
