Marcus Henderson (born September 13, 1987) is an American actor. He is well-known for playing Walter in the movie Get Out.

Early Life and Education

Marcus Henderson was born in St. Louis, Missouri. His parents are Leon and Barbara Henderson.

He went to Alabama State University on a football scholarship. While studying there, he saw a play by actor Charles S. Dutton. This show inspired Marcus to try acting. His very first professional acting job was a small, uncredited role in the movie Honeydripper.

Charles S. Dutton was so impressed with Marcus that he wrote a letter for him. This letter helped Marcus get into the Yale School of Drama. He graduated from Yale in 2011.

Acting Career

Marcus Henderson says that theater is his "first love." He has performed plays by William Shakespeare at both Yale and the California Shakespeare Company.

His first big movie role was as the character Big Sid in Django Unchained. In 2016, he played Woodrow in the movie Pete's Dragon.

In 2017, Marcus had an important role in the horror film Get Out. He also had a recurring role on the TV show Snowfall. Later, in 2019, he appeared in the movie Juanita. He is also a main cast member on the TV show Tacoma FD.

Personal Life

Marcus Henderson is married. He and his wife have two children, a daughter and a son. The family lives in Los Angeles, California.
