Starting with Hip-Hop
Mare Advertencia Lirika began her music career in 2003. She joined a hip-hop group called Oaxside Connection. She was one of two female members in the group.
In 2004, Mare helped create a new rap group just for women. It was called Advertencia Lirika. She formed it with two other members, Luna and Itza. This group released their first CD in 2007. It was named 3 Reinas, which means "3 Queens." The group made music together until 2009.
Solo Music and Important Messages
In 2010, Mare Advertencia Lirika started making music on her own. She released her first solo collection of songs, called an EP. It was titled ¡Que mujer!, meaning "What a Woman!" This EP had seven songs. These songs focused on unfair treatment that indigenous women sometimes face.
In 2022, one of Mare's songs became part of a famous movie soundtrack. The song was "Árboles Bajo El Mar." She performed it with another singer named Vivir Quintana. This song was included in the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
