Mare Advertencia Lirika is a talented rapper, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Oaxaca, Mexico, on January 14, 1987. Mare is an indigenous woman from the Zapotec people.
Mare's Musical Journey
Mare Advertencia Lirika started her music career in 2003. She joined a hip-hop group called Oaxside Connection. She was one of two female members in the group.
In 2004, Mare helped create an all-female rap group. It was called Advertencia Lirika. She formed it with two other members, Luna and Itza. In 2007, they released their first CD. It was named 3 Reinas, which means "3 Queens". The group made music together until 2009.
In 2010, Mare began her solo career. She released her first EP, a collection of songs, called ¡Que mujer! (What a Woman!). This EP had seven songs. They focused on unfair treatment faced by indigenous women.
In 2022, Mare's music reached an even wider audience. Her song "Árboles Bajo El Mar" was featured in a big movie. She performed it with singer Vivir Quintana. The song was part of the soundtrack for the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
