Margaret Osborne was an English stage actress who lived in the 1600s. She was a well-known performer during a time when theatre was very popular. Margaret was a long-time member of a famous acting group called the Duke's Company, starting in 1671.
She performed at important theatres in London, like the Lincoln's Inn Fields Theatre and the Dorset Garden Theatre. In 1677, she traveled to Dublin, Ireland, to act at the Smock Alley Theatre. However, she returned to the Duke's Company about two years later. In 1682, the Duke's Company joined with another group to form the United Company, and Margaret continued her acting career with this new company, performing well into the 1690s.
