Early Life and Learning

Margo Bors finished her first college degree in 1963. She studied at the University of Rochester in New York. Later, in 1992, she studied in Mexico City at the University of Mexico. She also learned about art from different cultures. This included Asian art at the Asian Art Museum. She also studied African and Oceanian art at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. In 1976, Margo started studying fine arts on her own. She did this at San Francisco City College.

Margo Bors is a muralist, painter, and photographer. She works from Potrero Hill in San Francisco, California. Margo has created many murals with Precita eyes muralists. She has also worked with artists like Luis and Susan Cervantes and Tony Parrinello. Her art style is inspired by California's native plants and animals. In Sunflowers and Mayan Cloth, Margo used watercolors. She painted sunflowers in a clear vase. The vase sits on a special cloth called Mayan Cloth. This cloth has many patterns.
