Mariana Fernández de Córdoba y Ayala (born around 1394, died 1431) was an important noblewoman in Castile, a kingdom in what is now Spain. She was also known as Mariana de Ayala Córdoba y Toledo. Mariana held the title of the fourth Lady of Casarrubios del Monte, a town in the province of Toledo. Her father was Diego Fernández de Córdoba y Carrillo, who was the first Lord of Baena. Her mother was Inés Ayala y Toledo, who was the third Lady of Casarrubios del Monte before Mariana.

Mariana lived during the 14th and 15th centuries, a time when noble families held a lot of power. Her life was connected to important political events through her family and marriage.

Marriage and Family

Around July 1425, Mariana married Fadrique Enríquez de Mendoza. He was a very powerful man. Fadrique was the Admiral of Castile, meaning he was a top military leader. He was also the Lord of Medina de Rioseco.

Mariana and Fadrique had one daughter together. Her name was Juana Enríquez. Juana was born in 1425 and lived until 1468. She became a very important person in history. Juana married John II of Aragon, who was the King of Aragon. This made Juana the Queen consort of Aragon.
