Marina Andreevna Kozlovskaya (Russian: Мари́на Андре́евна Козло́вская; April 7, 1925 – 2019) was a talented Russian painter. She lived and worked in Saint Petersburg, which was once called Leningrad. Marina was known as one of the most important artists from the Leningrad School of Painting, and she was especially famous for her beautiful landscape paintings.

Her Life as an Artist

Marina Kozlovskaya was born on April 7, 1925, in Leningrad, which was part of the Soviet Union. She studied art at the Repin Institute of Arts, a famous art school. She graduated in 1952 from the art studio of Boris Ioganson. Marina also learned from other great teachers like Boris Fogel and Alexander Zaytsev.

Starting in 1953, Marina's paintings were shown in many art exhibitions. She painted different kinds of pictures, including landscapes (scenes of nature), portraits (pictures of people), and still life (pictures of objects). She also had her own special art shows in Belgorod in 1981 and in Leningrad (Saint Petersburg) in 1984.

Marina became a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists in 1954. This is a group for professional artists. She was married to another well-known Russian painter, Boris Korneev. Marina Kozlovskaya passed away in Saint Petersburg in 2019.
