Marinette Pichon (born 26 November 1975) is a famous French former football (soccer) player. She was known for being a powerful forward, scoring many goals throughout her career for both her clubs and the French national team.

Playing Career Highlights
Marinette Pichon started her football journey at Saint-Memmie Olympique. Later, she joined the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA), which was a professional football league in America.
Success in the USA
While playing for the Philadelphia Charge in 2002, Marinette was the second-highest scorer in the league. She also won two big awards: the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and the Offensive Player of the Year. The next year, in 2003, she was again one of the top scorers. She also scored the most goals per game in the league.
After the WUSA league ended in 2003, Marinette went back to France. She played for Juvisy FCF. She continued to be a top scorer in France, leading the league in goals during the 2000/01, 2001/02, 2004/05, and 2005/06 seasons.
In 2004, she also played for the New Jersey Wildcats in another American league called the W-League. Even though she only played in ten matches that year, she scored the most goals and earned the most points in the entire league.
New Role as Sporting Director
In June 2024, Marinette Pichon took on a new role. She was named the sporting director for Montreal Roses FC. This is a new football club in Canada's Northern Super League.
International Football for France
Marinette Pichon played for the French national team from 1994 until 2006. She decided to retire from international football when she was 31 years old. This was after France was knocked out of the World Cup qualifying matches.
During her time playing for France, she scored an amazing 81 goals in 112 international matches. She also represented France at the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup, which is one of the biggest tournaments in women's football.
