Mariyana Nikolova (born September 16, 1975) is a politician from Bulgaria. She held important government jobs. From July 2020 to May 2021, she was the country's Minister for Tourism. She also served as a Deputy Prime Minister from November 2018 to May 2021.

Early Life and Education
Mariyana Nikolova was born in Botevgrad, Bulgaria, on September 16, 1975. She studied a lot! She earned master's degrees in different subjects. These included Law from the New Bulgarian University, Public Administration from Sofia University, and Economic Management from Veliko Tarnovo University.
Political Career
Before joining the government, Mariyana Nikolova worked as a lawyer in Sofia. Lawyers help people understand and follow laws. She also helped write new rules for the government. She worked in different government offices, like those for state administration, agriculture, and the economy.
In May 2017, Nikolova became a chief of staff. This means she was a top assistant to a Deputy Prime Minister. She helped manage their office and important projects. She also taught at the Public Administration Institute.
Becoming Deputy Prime Minister
On November 21, 2018, Mariyana Nikolova was chosen to be a Deputy Prime Minister. This is a very high position in the government. The National Assembly, which is like Bulgaria's parliament, voted for her. She was in charge of economic and population-related policies.
In August 2019, she also took on the important task of cybersecurity. This means she helped protect computer systems and information from online threats.
Serving as Minister of Tourism
On July 24, 2020, Mariyana Nikolova was given another big job. She became the Minister of Tourism. This was the first time someone in such a high government role also managed tourism.
Her main goal was to keep tourism working well in Bulgaria. This was especially important during the travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. She focused on encouraging people to travel within their own country.
