The Life of Marjorie Evans

Marjorie Evans spent most of her life in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. For a while, she also lived in Richmond, which is a part of London. She was a very versatile artist. Marjorie painted many different subjects, including flowers, still-life scenes (pictures of objects), and landscapes. Sometimes, she even painted portraits of people. She worked with both oil paints and watercolours.

Marjorie's Artistic Achievements

Marjorie Evans was recognized for her artistic skills. In 1891, she was chosen to be a member of the Royal Scottish Watercolour Society. This was a big honor for artists who worked with watercolours in Scotland. However, she decided to leave the Society in 1902.

She also showed her artwork in important exhibitions. Marjorie displayed two of her rose paintings at the Royal Academy in London. This happened in both 1892 and 1895. The Royal Academy is a very famous art institution. She also exhibited her work with the Aberdeen Artists Society and the Royal Scottish Academy.
