The Marokopa River is a lovely river located in the Waikato Region of New Zealand. It flows west for about 26 kilometers (16 miles) until it reaches the Tasman Sea at a place called Marokopa. The main part of the river is about 40.5 kilometers (25 miles) long. Many smaller streams and rivers, called tributaries, also flow into the Marokopa River, adding up to about 533 kilometers (331 miles) of waterways! The area that collects water for the river, called its catchment, is about 364 square kilometers (141 square miles).

Marokopa Falls
