Marshall Edwards played for the Milwaukee Brewers for three seasons. His most famous moment happened in 1982. The Brewers were playing the California Angels in a very important game. This game was the fifth and final game of the American League Championship Series. The winner would go to the World Series.
In the 8th inning, Marshall entered the game. He replaced another player, Gorman Thomas, in center field. The score was very close. A player from the Angels, Don Baylor, hit a deep fly ball. It looked like it might be a home run or a big hit. Marshall ran quickly to the warning track. This is the dirt area near the outfield wall. He made an incredible catch! This catch helped the Brewers win the game. They won by one run and advanced to their first World Series.
