Marta Jandová (born April 13, 1974) is a talented singer from the Czech Republic. She is best known as the lead singer of the German alternative rock band called Die Happy. Marta also had the honor of representing her home country, the Czech Republic, in the big Eurovision Song Contest 2015. She performed the song "Hope Never Dies" alongside another singer, Václav Noid Bárta.
Marta's Music Journey
Marta Jandová has had an exciting career in music. In 2005, she teamed up with the Finnish metal band Apocalyptica. Together, they represented the German state of Baden-Württemberg in a music competition called the Bundesvision Song Contest 2005. Their song, "Wie weit," finished in 5th place.
She returned to the Bundesvision Song Contest 2007 in 2007. This time, she sang with the band Oomph! and represented Lower Saxony. Their song, "Träumst du?", was a huge success! They won the contest with 147 points. This winning song also became very popular, reaching the top ten on the German music charts.
In 2008, Marta went back to her hometown of Prague. There, she performed in a musical called Mona Lisa. Even though she was back home, she kept strong connections with Germany. In 2009, she even hosted a German TV show called neoMusic.

Marta Jandová lives with her partner, Miroslav Verner, who is a gynecologist. They have a daughter named Marie, who was born on August 7, 2013.
