Marti Belle is the ring name of Martibel Payano, a professional wrestler born on August 7, 1988. She is from the Dominican Republic and also an American citizen. Marti Belle is best known for her time in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). There, she became a NWA World Women's Tag Team Champion.

She also wrestles for other groups in the United States. These include Evolve, Shimmer Women Athletes, and Shine Wrestling. She also wrestled for Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU). For WSU, she was a WSU Spirit Champion and a two-time WSU Tag Team Champion.

Marti Belle's Wrestling Journey

Starting Her Career (2008–2009)

Marti Belle began her wrestling journey on June 12, 2008. She first appeared as a manager, called a valet, for Tristan Spade. Her first wrestling match was on November 7, 2009. She faced Tina San Antonio and Sweet Pea in a match that ended in a draw.

Success at Women Superstars Uncensored (2010–2014)

Marti Belle joined Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU) on March 6, 2010. She teamed up with Tina San Antonio. On November 26, Marti and Tina, known as The Belle Saints, won the WSU Tag Team Championship. They became champions by defeating Cindy Rogers and Jana. They successfully defended their titles later that night.

At WSU's 4th Anniversary Show, Marti Belle defended the tag titles again. Her partner was Jazz, who replaced an injured Tina. They kept the titles in a three-way match. On May 27, Marti and Jazz lost the championships.

On June 16, 2012, Marti Belle won the WSU Spirit Championship. She defeated Jessicka Havok to become the champion. Marti held this title for 602 days. This is the longest time anyone has held the WSU Spirit Championship. She lost the title on February 8, 2014, to Ezavel Suena.

Wrestling on the Independent Scene (2010–Present)

Marti Belle has also wrestled for many other groups. She debuted for Evolve on September 8, 2012. She also wrestled for Shine Wrestling and Ring of Honor in 2012. In 2013, she had her first singles win at Shimmer Women Athletes.

Knockouts Knockdown (2014)

Marti Belle first appeared at a special event called Knockouts Knockdown 2. This was on May 10, 2014. She won her match against ODB.

Joining The Dollhouse (2015-2016)

In April 2015, Marti Belle joined a new group called "The Dollhouse." She teamed up with Jade. They acted like unstable, childlike characters. They helped Taryn Terrell keep her TNA Knockouts Championship. The Dollhouse often interfered in Terrell's matches to help her win.

The Dollhouse had their first team match on May 8. They defeated Awesome Kong and Gail Kim in a handicap match. After Terrell lost her championship, Marti Belle tried to win it. She challenged Brooke for the title but lost. The Dollhouse later broke up in 2016.

Competing as a Single Wrestler (2016–2017)

After The Dollhouse broke up, Marti Belle started wrestling by herself. She returned at TNA Slammiversary 2016. She attacked Jade, starting a rivalry between the former teammates. Marti then competed for the Knockouts title several times. She left the company in January 2017.

Competing in WWE (2017)

On July 12, 2017, it was announced that Marti Belle would compete in WWE's Mae Young Classic tournament. She was eliminated in the first round. She also appeared in a special tag team match.

National Wrestling Alliance (2019–2021)

Marti Belle debuted for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) on October 22, 2019. She later teamed up with Thunder Rosa. On November 17, 2020, Marti announced she was leaving NWA.

However, she returned to NWA in August 2021. She teamed with Allysin Kay to form a team called The Hex. At NWA EmPowerrr, The Hex won a tournament. They became the new NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions.

Return to Ring of Honor (2021 & 2023–Present)

In 2021, Marti Belle also wrestled for Ring of Honor (ROH). She entered the first ROH Women's World Championship tournament but lost in the first round. She returned to ROH on October 14, 2023, and has competed in matches since then.

Return to Impact Wrestling (2023–Present)

On January 20, 2023, Marti Belle and Allysin Kay returned to Impact Wrestling. They were joined by Father James Mitchell. They challenged for the Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Championship but did not win.
