Martin Ebbertz facts for kids
Martin Ebbertz is a German writer who creates amazing books for kids! He was born in 1962 in a city called Aachen in West Germany.
Martin grew up in a town called Pruem. When he was older, he went to different universities in cities like Freiburg, Münster, and Frankfurt. He studied subjects like German language and literature, philosophy (which is about big ideas and thinking), and history.
For a while, he worked as a writer on his own (this is called being a "freelance writer") in Frankfurt. Then, he lived for five years in a beautiful city in Greece. Since the year 2000, Martin Ebbertz has lived with his wife and two children in a town called Boppard, right by the famous Rhine River. Besides writing, he also has other cool jobs! He sells things at flea markets (like big outdoor sales) and also sells used books.
His Books and Stories
Martin Ebbertz wrote his very first children's book in 1992. It was called Josef, der zu den Indianern will.
One of his most famous books is Der kleine Herr Jaromir (which means "The Little Mr. Jaromir"). This book was so popular that it was even translated into other languages, like Dutch and Chinese! Many of his fun children's stories have also been shared on a German radio program called Ohrenbär, which broadcasts stories for kids.

Martin Ebbertz has won several awards for his wonderful books and stories:
