Martin Hosselton (born May 5, 1979), known as Martin Sweet, is a talented musician from Sweden. He is most famous for being the lead guitarist for the glam metal band Crashdïet. He also plays bass and sings.

Martin Sweet's Music Journey

Martin Sweet joined the Swedish band Crashdïet in 2002. He became their guitarist when the band's singer, Dave Lepard, decided to restart the group with new members.

Early Albums with Crashdïet

The band released their first short album, called an EP, in 2003. Their first full album, "Rest in Sleaze", came out in 2005. This album included popular songs like "Riot in Everyone" and "Knokk 'Em Down".

Sadly, the band's singer, Dave Lepard, passed away in January 2006. After this, the band thought about stopping. But they decided to keep Crashdïet going to honor Dave's memory. During this time, Martin wrote many songs and sang on some demos himself.

New Singers and More Albums

On January 21, 2007, Crashdïet announced their new singer, H. Olliver Twisted. They released one album with him called "The Unattractive Revolution". This album featured songs like "In the Raw".

In July 2008, Twisted left the band. Crashdïet then looked for a new singer. Simon Cruz joined in 2009. With Simon, they released the album Generation Wild in 2010. This album had hit songs like "Generation Wild".

Touring and Chart Success

In 2011, Crashdïet got to open for the famous rock star Ozzy Osbourne in Stockholm. The next year, they opened for another big band, Mötley Crüe, in Helsinki.

In January 2013, they released their album The Savage Playground. This album was very popular and reached number 2 on the Swedish music charts.

Recent Years and Other Projects

In February 2015, singer Simon Cruz left Crashdïet. After this, the band was not very active for a while. However, Martin Sweet has said that Crashdïet is not finished yet.

In 2016, Martin Sweet joined another Swedish band called Sister. He played bass guitar for them. He also started his own new band, Sweet Creature, where he is the lead singer.

Martin Sweet married his longtime girlfriend, Ika Lillås Lindman, in the spring of 2013.
