Marvin Angulo Borbón (born on September 30, 1986) is a professional football player from Costa Rica. He is known for playing as an attacking midfielder. Currently, he plays for Municipal Liberia. Angulo has played for several important clubs in his career, including Herediano and Deportivo Saprissa, and even had a loan spell in Australia.
Marvin Angulo's Club Journey
Marvin Angulo started his football career with Herediano in Costa Rica. He played for them for several years, showing his skills as a midfielder.
In 2009, Angulo had a chance to play internationally. He joined Melbourne Victory in Australia for a short time. This was a loan deal, meaning he played for them temporarily while still belonging to Herediano. He was able to play for Melbourne Victory starting in January 2010.
After his time in Australia, Angulo returned to Herediano. Later, he played for Uruguay de Coronado. In 2014, he joined Deportivo Saprissa, one of Costa Rica's biggest football clubs. He has played many games for Saprissa and scored many goals.
Playing for Costa Rica
Marvin Angulo has also played for the Costa Rica national football team. This means he represented his country in international matches.
His first game for the national team was in August 2007. He played in a friendly match against Peru. In January 2008, he played his second and last international game against Sweden.
