Mary Talbot is a British writer and a former university professor. She is known for her academic books and for her graphic novels. A graphic novel is like a comic book, but it tells a longer, more complex story.
Since 2009, Mary Talbot has focused on writing. Her first graphic novel, Dotter of Her Father's Eyes, was published in 2012. Her husband, Bryan Talbot, drew the pictures for it. This book won a special award called the Costa biography prize in 2012.
