Masaaki Mori (森 正明, Mori Masaaki, born July 12, 1961) is a former Japanese football player. He was a talented midfielder who played for a club team called Fujita Industries. Mori also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team.

Playing for Clubs

Masaaki Mori was born in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, on July 12, 1961. After finishing his studies at Fukuoka University, he joined a professional football club named Fujita Industries in 1984. This team played in the Japan Soccer League, which was the top football league in Japan at that time.

In 1990, his club, Fujita Industries, moved down to Division 2 of the league. But they worked hard and in 1992, they became the champions of Division 2! Mori played for Fujita Industries until he retired from playing football in 1992. During his time with the club, he played in 131 league games and scored 19 goals.

Playing for Japan

Mori also represented his country on the international stage. He made his first appearance for the Japan national team on June 2, 1988. This big moment happened in a game against China.

In 1989, he was part of the Japanese team that played in the qualification matches for the 1990 FIFA World Cup. He played a total of 8 games for Japan's national team before he stopped playing internationally in 1989.
