Masahiro Sukigara (鋤柄 昌宏, Sukigara Masahiro, born April 2, 1966) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward.

Masahiro Sukigara's Football Journey
Masahiro Sukigara was born in Tokyo, Japan, on April 2, 1966. He grew up loving football. After finishing high school, he went to University of Tsukuba. He played football there from 1985 to 1988.
Starting His Professional Career
In 1989, after university, Sukigara joined a professional football team called Yomiuri. This team later changed its name to Verdy Kawasaki. This club was very strong. It had many players who also played for the Japan national football team. Because of this, it was hard for Sukigara to get a lot of playing time.
In March 1994, he moved to another team, Urawa Reds. At Urawa Reds, he played only one match. Interestingly, that match was against his old team, Verdy Kawasaki.
Playing for Fukushima FC
In 1995, Sukigara joined Fukushima FC. This team was part of the Japan Football League. Here, he got to play much more often. He played in many matches for Fukushima FC. He scored 12 goals for the team during his time there. Unfortunately, the club stopped playing in 1997.
Playing for Japan's National Team
In 1988, while Masahiro Sukigara was still a student at University of Tsukuba, he was chosen for the Japan national "B team". This was for the 1988 AFC Asian Cup. Even though he was selected, he did not get to play in any matches during the tournament.
