Masaki Fukai (born September 13, 1980) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward, which means he was one of the main players who tried to score goals for his team.

Masaki Fukai's Football Journey
Masaki Fukai was born in Fujikawa, Yamanashi, Japan. He started his football journey by playing for his high school team. After that, he played for Komazawa University.
Playing for Kashima Antlers
In 2003, after finishing university, Masaki Fukai joined a big club called Kashima Antlers. This team plays in the J1 League, which is the top football league in Japan. He played in many games each season for the Antlers.
During his time with Kashima Antlers, his team did very well in the J.League Cup. They finished in second place in both 2003 and 2006. This means they made it to the final match but didn't win the trophy.
Moving to New Teams
In 2007, Masaki Fukai moved to a new team called Albirex Niigata. He played 18 games for them. The next year, in 2008, he joined Nagoya Grampus. However, he didn't get to play as much in games for this team.
Later in 2008, he moved again, this time to JEF United Chiba. Here, he played a lot as a forward. He even played alongside Seiichiro Maki, who was his teammate back at Komazawa University.
Challenges and Retirement
In 2009, JEF United Chiba had a tough season. They finished last in the J1 League and were moved down to the J2 League. This was the first time in the club's history they had to play in a lower division.
Masaki Fukai continued to play for JEF United Chiba for several more years. He played very often in 2012. But in 2013, he got an injury that stopped him from playing as much. He left the team at the end of that season.
After leaving JEF United Chiba, he joined V-Varen Nagasaki in the J2 League in 2014 and played for two seasons. In 2016, he moved to SC Sagamihara, which plays in the J3 League.
