Masato Koga (古賀 正人, Koga Masato, born May 22, 1970) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder. His elder brother Takuma was also a football player.

Masato Koga's Football Journey
Early Days and First Club
Masato Koga was born in Shizuoka, Japan, on May 22, 1970. After finishing his studies at Hosei University, he started his professional football career. In 1993, he joined the Yokohama Marinos team.
He made his debut with Yokohama Marinos in 1995. That year, he played in many games as an offensive midfielder. His team, Yokohama Marinos, also won the league championship in 1995. This was a big achievement for the club.
Moving to New Teams
In 1996, Masato Koga did not play in any matches for Yokohama Marinos. So, in 1997, he decided to move to a different club. He joined Sagan Tosu, which was then in the Japan Football League.
At Sagan Tosu, he became a regular player, meaning he played in most games. His strong performance helped the club get promoted to the J2 League in 1999. He continued to play for Sagan Tosu until 2000.
In 2001, Masato Koga moved to another team called Sagawa Express Chukyo. This club played in the Regional Leagues. He continued his football career there until 2006.
Retirement
Masato Koga played his last professional game at the end of the 2006 season. He then retired from football. Throughout his career, he played a total of 132 league matches and scored 12 goals.
