Masha Rasputina (born Alla Nikolayevna Ageeva) is a famous Russian pop singer. She became very popular in the 1990s and early 2000s. In 2003, she had a huge hit song called "Roza chaynaya" (meaning "Tea Rose"). She sang this song as a duet with another well-known singer, Philipp Kirkorov.

Masha Rasputina's Early Life
Masha Rasputina was born in Inskoy, Kemerovo Oblast, in 1964. Her father worked at a power station. Her mother was a hydrologist from Odessa. When she was a child, Masha moved to the village of Urop. She lived there with her grandparents.
Starting Her Musical Journey
Masha first thought about studying a technical subject, like her parents. But she soon realized her true passion was music. She decided to leave her technical studies. Instead, she moved to Moscow to follow her dream.
In Moscow, Masha tried out for many different music groups. She eventually joined a musical group as a singer. She also decided to go back to school. She studied at the Kemerovo State University of Culture and Arts. After graduating, she got a second degree. She studied choir conducting at the Tver Musical School. She finished her studies in 1988.
Masha Rasputina's Music Career
After finishing her education, Masha Rasputina moved back to Moscow. She wanted to become a singer in the Soviet music scene. She made her first TV appearance on a show called Morning Post. She sang a song called "Igray muzykant." It was around this time that a friend suggested she use the stage name Masha Rasputina.
Rising to Fame in the 1990s
In 1991, Masha released her first music album. It was called Gorodskaya sumasshedshaya (A Town's Mad Girl). One of her first big performances was a duet. She sang with Vyacheslav Dobrynin at the 1991 Pesnya goda (Song of the Year) event.
As her fame grew in Russia, Masha wanted to reach an international audience. She recorded an album of Russian songs called I was born in Siberia. This album did not become popular outside of Russia. However, it was very successful in Russia and other Russian-speaking countries. A song from this album, "Ty menya ne budi," was also featured on Pesnya goda.
Collaborations and Later Career
Around 1999, Masha Rasputina performed fewer concerts. This was because she was expecting her second child, who was born in 2000. In 2003, she began working closely with Philipp Kirkorov. Their first song together, "Roza chaynaya," became one of the biggest hits in Russia that year. Another duet they sang, "Dzhalma," also did very well on the music charts.
In the same year, she released her most successful album. It was also called Roza chaynaya. Her next solo song, "Mechty" (Dreams), also became very popular. During this time, Masha Rasputina toured Russia. She also appeared on many TV shows. One notable appearance was on Fabrika Zvyozd (Star Factory). She performed as a guest alongside several young artists.
In 2007, Masha released her last hit duet with Kirkorov, "Proshay" (Goodbye). After this, her public appearances became less frequent. In 2011, she announced that she would no longer perform on big stages. She said she would only sing at smaller events. In 2015, she released a new song called "Zhyoltye list'ya" (Yellow Leaves).
Masha Rasputina's Personal Life
Masha Rasputina was married to her producer, Vladimir Yermmakov. Their first daughter, Lidiya, was born in 1985. Masha and Vladimir later divorced in the late 1990s.
In 1999, Masha married her second husband, Viktor Zakharov, who was also a producer. Their second daughter, Mariya, was born the following year.
