MasterChef India – Telugu (also known as MasterChef Telugu) is a fun cooking TV show from India. It's a reality competition where people show off their cooking skills. The show is based on the famous MasterChef Australia series. It's also part of the bigger MasterChef India family of shows. Endemol Shine India makes the show. It first aired on Gemini TV and Sun NXT on August 27, 2021.

How the Show Works
This exciting show features 14 people who love to cook, called contestants. It also has a host and three professional chefs who act as judges. The person who wins the competition gets the special MasterChef title. They also receive a big cash prize of ₹25,00,000.

So far, there has been one season of MasterChef India – Telugu.
Season 1 Details
The first season of MasterChef India – Telugu was shown from August 27, 2021, to November 27, 2021. You could watch it on Gemini TV or stream it on Sun NXT.
The show had two different hosts during its first season. Actress Tamannaah hosted the first 16 episodes. After that, Anasuya Bharadwaj took over for episodes 17 to 24. For the last few episodes, there was no host.
The judges for the season were professional chefs Chalapathi Rao, Sanjay Thumma, and Mahesh Padala. They tasted and judged all the dishes. K. Krishna Tejasvi, a home baker from Hyderabad, won the competition. G. D. Anusha was the runner-up.
Making the Show
How it Started
In early 2021, Sun TV Network got the rights to create MasterChef in Telugu. In June 2021, Tamannaah confirmed she would be the host. She even shared a behind-the-scenes picture! The show was planned to have 28 episodes.
A special set was built for the show by Omung Kumar. It had 20 cooking stations, a pantry for ingredients, and a balcony. This set was made at the Innovative Film Academy. The show used many cameras to film everything, so viewers could see all the cooking action.
Filming Process
Sanjeev K. Kumar directed the show. Filming for the first season began in late June 2021.
Other MasterChef Shows
The MasterChef show was first made in Hindi in India. It was called MasterChef India. Later, it was also made in Tamil, called MasterChef India – Tamil. There are also plans to create versions in Kannada and Malayalam languages.
