Mathilde Marie Feliksovna Kschessinskaya (born 31 August 1872 – died 6 December 1971) was a famous Russian ballerina. She came from a family with Polish roots. In the West, people knew her as Mathilde Kschessinska or Matilda Kshesinskaya. Later in her life, from 1921, she was also known as Her Serene Highness Princess Romanova-Krasinskaya.

Her father, Feliks Krzesiński, and her brother were also dancers in St. Petersburg, Russia. Mathilde became one of the best dancers of her time. She reached the highest rank a ballerina could achieve, called prima ballerina assoluta. This means she was considered the absolute best ballerina.

Mathilde Kschessinskaya was a very talented and dedicated dancer. She trained hard to become a top performer. Her performances were known for their grace and skill. She captivated audiences with her powerful stage presence.
