Matt Galloway is a well-known Canadian radio host. He was born in 1970. Since January 2020, he has been the main host of The Current. This is a popular national news show on CBC Radio One.
Before that, Matt Galloway hosted Metro Morning. This show is heard on CBC's Toronto station, CBLA-FM. He hosted Metro Morning from 2010 to 2019. He also hosted other shows like Canada Live and Podcast Playlist.

His Early Years and School
Matt Galloway was born in Newmarket, Ontario. He grew up in a town called Kimberley, Ontario. His mother is of European-Canadian background. His father is African-American.
He went to York University in Toronto. He finished his studies there in 1994.
His Radio Journey
Matt Galloway started his big role on The Current on January 6, 2020. He took over from another famous host, Anna Maria Tremonti. He became only the second permanent host of this important national news program.
His last day hosting Metro Morning was on December 6, 2019. Before hosting Metro Morning, he hosted Here and Now. This was a local afternoon show on CBLA. He hosted it from 2004 to 2010.
Before becoming a host at CBC Radio, Matt Galloway did other interesting things. He wrote for a Toronto newspaper called NOW. He also worked as a music director for a college radio station, CHRY-FM. He was also a freelance producer for a show called Brave New Waves.
