Writing for Young Adults
Matt Thorne has also written a series of three books for young adults. This series is called the 39 Castles series. It tells the exciting adventures of a group of energetic children.
These novels create an imaginary future England. In this future, the modern world has changed, and society has gone back to older ways. It is a bit like medieval England. The world in these books is similar to the England imagined by Richard Jefferies in his novel After London. Thorne even mentions this book in the final part of his trilogy, The White Castle.
