Matthew Mole's Early Life
Growing Up and Learning Music
Matthew Mole grew up in Fish Hoek, a town near Cape Town. His dad taught him how to play the guitar. Matthew then learned to play many other instruments. These included the ukulele, banjo, piano, organ, and drums.
He started writing his own songs when he was finishing high school. Matthew likes to start with an idea for words, a beat, or a tune. Then, he records different instruments. He switches between them to build a complete song.
In 2010, Matthew studied how to produce music in Cape Town. This helped him learn how to make songs sound great.
