Matthew Parker was born on January 25, 1996. He is an Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played for the Richmond Football Club and St Kilda Football Club. Matthew played 30 games during his four seasons in the AFL.

Matthew Parker's AFL Journey
Playing for St Kilda (2019–2020)
Matthew Parker started his AFL career with the St Kilda Saints. He was chosen by the Saints with pick 47 in the 2018 AFL draft. Before joining the AFL, he played for the South Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL).
In his first year, 2019, Matthew played 17 games. This was a great start to his professional career. However, in his second and final season with St Kilda in 2020, he only played 2 games. At the end of 2020, he was no longer part of the team.
Back to State League (2021)
After leaving St Kilda, Matthew went back to play for his old club, South Fremantle, in the WAFL. He continued to play well. In 2021, he was chosen to represent Western Australia. He played in an interstate match against South Australia.
Joining Richmond (2021–2022)
Matthew Parker got another chance to play in the AFL. In the 2021 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft, the Richmond Football Club picked him. He was the 10th player chosen in that draft.
Matthew played his first game for Richmond in round 18. This was against the Brisbane Lions. On September 23, he signed a new one-year deal. This meant he would stay with Richmond for the 2022 season.
In 2022, Matthew decided to leave Richmond. He returned home to Western Australia to be with his family.
