Matthew Wolfenden (born July 23, 1987) is an English footballer. He plays as a striker for the Avro team. Matthew started his career at Oldham Athletic, his hometown club. Later, he moved to Wales to play for Wrexham. He also spent seven years playing for FC United of Manchester.

Early Life
Matthew Wolfenden grew up in Oldham, England. As a child, he went to the Blue Coat School in his hometown.
Football Career
Playing for Oldham Athletic
Matthew joined the Oldham Athletic youth team when he was just nine years old. He made his first appearance for the main team on November 15, 2003. He was only 16 years and 115 days old at the time. This made him one of the youngest players to ever play for Oldham Athletic. His first goal for the club came almost four years later, in May 2007. He left Oldham Athletic in July 2009.
Playing for Wrexham
After leaving Oldham, Matthew signed with Wrexham. He joined them in the summer of 2009. He had played well in some friendly matches before signing. Matthew made his first game for Wrexham on August 8, 2009. He played in 15 league games for the club. He then left Wrexham at the end of that season.
Playing for FC United of Manchester
On October 31, 2010, Matthew joined F.C. United of Manchester. He made his first appearance for them in an FA Trophy match. Matthew was a very important player for FC United. He was the top goal scorer for the team in both the 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons. He played for FC United of Manchester for seven years. He left the club in July 2017.
Playing for Stalybridge Celtic
In July 2017, Matthew joined Stalybridge Celtic.
Playing for Radcliffe FC
Matthew signed with Radcliffe FC in July 2019.
Playing for Avro
In October 2021, Matthew Wolfenden joined the Avro team. He continues to play for them.
