Maurice Bradley was born on 5 April 1954. He is a politician from Northern Ireland. He belongs to the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP). Since 2016, he has served as a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA). He represents the area of East Londonderry. Mr. Bradley is also the DUP's spokesperson for policing matters. Before becoming an MLA, he was a local councillor. He served on the Coleraine Borough Council from 1994 to 2014.

Early Steps in Local Government
Bradley first became a councillor in 1994. He was elected to the Coleraine Borough Council. This council managed local services in the Coleraine area. He represented the Coleraine East district. He was re-elected to this role in 2001. He continued to serve the local community.
In 2003, he ran for the Northern Ireland Assembly. He was one of three DUP candidates. However, he was not elected at that time. He continued his work as a councillor. He was re-elected again in the 2005 local elections.
Serving as Mayor of Coleraine
Maurice Bradley had the important role of mayor of Coleraine twice. His first term as mayor was from 2007 to 2008. He served a second time from 2011 to 2012. As mayor, he was the main representative of the town. He worked to improve the local area.
Becoming a Member of the Assembly
In 2016, Maurice Bradley decided to run for the Northern Ireland Assembly again. The previous MLA for East Londonderry, Gregory Campbell, stepped down. Bradley was successful in the 2016 election. He was elected in the first count. He received the most votes in his area. Since then, he has been serving the people of East Londonderry as an MLA.
