Max Huwyler (born December 6, 1931 – died January 28, 2023) was a talented writer from Switzerland. He wrote many different kinds of stories and poems.

Max Huwyler's Life and Work

Max Huwyler started his career as a high school teacher. He taught in the city of Zürich. But he also loved to write!

He wrote many books, especially for children. He also created plays for the theater. Some of his works were poems and stories for adults. He even wrote plays for radio.

One of his important books was Welt der Wörter, which means World of Words. He wrote this book with Walter Flückiger in 1983. It was a big project with several parts.

Max Huwyler also helped bring other writers' works to Switzerland. He translated plays by famous authors like Elias Canetti and Günter Grass. He changed their words into Swiss German.

Awards and Recognition
