Max Korzh's Early Life and Music Journey
Max Korzh started his music journey at a young age. His parents enrolled him in music school. When he was 16, Max formed his first band with friends called "Lun Clan." However, this band did not last very long. He also tried a few other music projects, but they were not very successful.
Max recorded his first solo song while studying at Belarusian State University. This is the biggest university in Belarus. During his third year, he decided to leave university to focus on his music. He borrowed $300 from his mom. He used the money to record a song called "Nebo Pomozhet Nam" (which means "Sky Will Help Us"). He shared it on VKontakte, a big social network in Russia.
Soon after, he joined the military. The electronic music group "Magic Sound" helped produce "Nebo Pomozhet Nam." When Max returned from the military, he found out his song had become very popular in Belarus! It was played on the radio and gained many fans. To make it even more popular, Max sent the song to DJs in Minsk. They played it at parties, helping it reach more people. In October 2024, Max Korzh left Belarus. This happened after he faced some challenges related to his home country.
Max Korzh's Solo Career and Achievements
Max Korzh released his first music video for "Nebo Pomozhet Nam" on April 7, 2012. A month later, on May 1, 2012, he released his first album. It was called "Zhivotniy Mir" (meaning "Animal World"). This album had 16 songs, all written by Max himself. Later that year, he signed with a Russian record label called Respect Production.
Touring and Awards
In early 2013, Max Korzh went on his "The Take-Off March" tour. He performed in Belarus, Ukraine, and Russia. One of his shows was at the Minsk Sports Palace in Belarus. He was worried about filling such a big place. But he decided to go for it, and 6,500 tickets were sold!
In the summer of 2013, Max was nominated for a "Breakthrough Artist" award at the Muz-TV Awards. On November 2, 2013, Max Korzh made history. He became the first Belarusian artist to sell out a show at the Minsk-Arena in Belarus. About 13,000 people came to see him perform! He also sold out a show at Moscow's Luzhniki Palace of Sports.
In June 2014, Max won the "Best Album" award at the Muz-TV Awards. This was for his second album, "Zhit’ V Kaif" (meaning "Life Is Good"). On November 8, 2014, he released his third album, "Domashniy" (meaning "Domestic" or "Homely"). In June 2015, Max was nominated for three more Muz-TV Awards. These included "Best Hip-Hop Artist," "Best Album," and "Best Live Show." On December 16, 2017, Max had his second sold-out show at Minsk-Arena.
