Maxime's Rugby Journey with Clubs
Maxime Machenaud was born in a city called Bordeaux in France. He started learning to play rugby at a young age. He trained with local clubs like Stade Bordelais and CABBG.
Starting His Professional Career
Maxime began his professional rugby journey with his hometown club, Bordeaux Bègles. This team played in a league called Pro D2. In 2010, he moved to another team, SU Agen, which played in the top French league, the Top 14.
Playing for Racing 92
In 2012, Maxime joined a well-known club called Racing Métro, which is now known as Racing 92. He played many important games for them. In the final match of the 2015–16 Top 14 season, Racing 92 played against Toulon. Even though Maxime received a red card early in the game, his team, Racing 92, still managed to win the championship!

Maxime also had the honor of playing for his country, France.
First Games for France
He played his very first international game for the French national team in 2012. This was during France's tour of Argentina. It was a special moment because he scored his first international try during this tour.
Playing for the French Barbarians
In November 2022, Maxime was chosen to play for the French Barbarians. This is a special invitational team. They played against the Fiji national team at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
