Maxime Machenaud was born on December 30, 1988. He is a French rugby union player. He plays in a special position called scrum-half. Currently, he plays for a team named Bayonne. He also used to play for the French national team.
Maxime's Club Journey
Maxime was born in Bordeaux, France. He started learning rugby at a young age. He trained at Stade Bordelais and also at CABBG. His first professional team was Bordeaux Bègles. This team played in a league called Pro D2.
In 2010, he moved to a team called SU Agen. They played in the Top 14 league, which is the top rugby league in France. Two years later, in 2012, he joined Racing Métro. This team is now known as Racing 92.
During the final match of the 2015–16 Top 14 season, Maxime got a red card. This meant he had to leave the game early. Even with one player less, his team, Racing, still managed to win the championship against Toulon.
Playing for France
Maxime first played for the French national team in 2012. This was during a tour to Argentina. In one of these games, he scored his very first points for France.
In November 2022, he was chosen to play for the French Barbarians. This is a special invitational team. They played against the Fiji team in a match at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
