May Myat Noe was born in Yangon, Myanmar. She spent some of her childhood in Singapore. There, she went to Punggol Primary School and CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls' School. When she returned to Myanmar, she joined a TV singing contest called Eai Mat Sone Yar. Later, she was invited to compete in the Miss Asia Pacific World pageant.
