May Myat Noe was born in Yangon, Myanmar, on 13 October 1998. She spent some of her school years in Singapore. There, she attended Punggol Primary School and CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls' School. Later, she finished her high school studies at Myanmar International School. Before her modeling career, she took part in a TV singing show called Eai Mat Sone Yar.

Miss Asia Pacific World 2014
In 2014, May Myat Noe joined the Miss Asia Pacific World contest. She won the competition and was crowned the winner. However, after three months, her title was taken away. This happened because of disagreements with the pageant organizers. May Myat Noe stated that she faced pressure from the organizers. She also said she would not return the crown until she received an apology. She later gave the crown to authorities in Myanmar.
