McGuire, Missouri facts for kids
McGuire is a small, unincorporated community located in Dunklin County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An unincorporated community is a place that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town. Instead, it's usually part of a larger county.
McGuire's History
The community of McGuire got its start a long time ago. A post office was opened there in 1905. This post office helped people send and receive mail until it closed in 1914. The area was named after a person named Fred McGuire, who was the first owner of the land where the community is located.
