Megan Boone, born on April 29, 1983, is an American actress and producer. She is famous for playing FBI agent Elizabeth Keen in the TV show The Blacklist from 2013 to 2021. Earlier in her career, she acted in movies like My Bloody Valentine 3D (2009) and Step Up Revolution (2012). She also had a role in the TV series Law & Order: LA (2010–2011). In 2023, she appeared in an episode of the show Accused.

Early Life and Education
Megan Boone was born in Petoskey, Michigan. She grew up in The Villages, Florida, where her parents moved to be near her grandparents. Her grandfather, H. Gary Morse, helped develop The Villages. Her mother, Jennifer Parr, works in sales there. Megan has a sister named Paige and a brother named Harper. She also has a half-brother named Hudson.
Megan's family background includes English, German, and Jewish roots from her mother's side. She also has Dutch and Irish ancestors.
Boone studied acting at Belleview High School, an arts school, and graduated in 2001. In 2005, she earned a degree in Acting from Florida State University. She learned from famous actors and directors like Jane Alexander. In late 2017, Boone started studying for a master's degree in Sustainability at Bard College in New York.
Acting Career Highlights
In 2007, Megan Boone produced and starred in a play called Limonade Tous Les Jours in Los Angeles. She won two awards for her acting in that play. Her first movie role was in the horror film My Bloody Valentine 3D in 2009. She also had a small part in ... and the City 2 in 2010.
From 2010 to 2011, she played a lawyer named Lauren Stanton in the TV show Law & Order: LA. In 2010, Boone also directed her own independent film, Eggshells for Soil. She appeared in Step Up Revolution (2012), which is part of the Step Up dance movie series.
Boone starred in the independent movie Leave Me Like You Found Me (2012). For this role, she won an award for Best Actress at the Gen Art Film Festival. In 2013, she had a recurring role in the police drama Blue Bloods. Later that year, she began her main role as FBI agent Elizabeth Keen in The Blacklist. This show became very popular with both critics and viewers.
On June 15, 2021, it was announced that she would leave The Blacklist after eight seasons. She wanted to explore new opportunities. She started her own production company called Weird Sister.
In 2017, Megan Boone became a supporter of environmental laws. She used her acting platform to help raise awareness for new laws in New York. These laws included the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. This act aims to protect the climate. She also supported the Birds and Bees Protection Act, which bans certain pesticides.
Personal Life
In November 2015, Megan Boone's representative confirmed that she and her partner, artist Dan Estabrook, were expecting a baby. Boone gave birth to their child in April 2016.
