Mercedes Ron López, born on June 1, 1993, is a popular author from Argentina who now lives in Spain. She is famous for her book series called the Culpables Saga. This series first became well-known on Wattpad, a website where writers share their stories.
The first book in the series, Culpa Mía, was made into a movie in 2023. The second book, Culpa Tuya, also became a movie and was released on December 27, 2024. The third and final book, Culpa Nuestra, is being prepared for release in 2025. An English version of My Fault called My Fault: London was released on Amazon Prime Video on February 13, 2025. Mercedes Ron currently lives in Seville, Spain.

Early Life and Education
Mercedes Ron was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2001, when she was young, her family moved to Spain. They left Argentina to avoid the difficult times and riots happening there.
Later, Mercedes studied at the University of Seville. She earned a degree in Audiovisual Communication. This means she learned about how movies, TV shows, and other media are made.
How Mercedes Ron Became a Writer
Mercedes Ron started her writing journey in mid-2015. She began sharing her stories on the Wattpad platform. This is where she first started writing Culpa Mía.
In 2016, her talent was recognized when she won a Wattys Award. These awards celebrate popular stories and writers on Wattpad.
Publishing Her Books
In March 2017, her novel Culpa Mía was officially published. It was released by Montena, a part of Penguin Random House, in Barcelona. Just a few months later, her second book, Culpa Tuya, was also published.
The third and final book of the Culpables Trilogy, Culpa Nuestra, came out in July 2018. Mercedes Ron even presented this book at a big book fair in Lima, Peru. The Culpables Trilogy became so popular that it was translated into French in 2018.
Other Popular Books
After the Culpables Trilogy, Mercedes Ron continued to write. In 2019, she released two more books: Marfíl and Ébano.
She also wrote the Dímelo Trilogy, which includes:
